About Us

Building Strength Through Community & Identity

Afro Diaspora Nurses Connect (ADNC) was founded in March 2024 to address the need for a strong, inclusive, and supportive community for nurses and future nurses of African and Caribbean descent. The organization brings together Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), nursing students, and Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) across diverse healthcare pathways.

Our Commitment

ADNC remains committed to promoting equity, celebrating cultural heritage, and supporting the holistic well-being of every member within our growing community.

Our Values

Our Objectives

1. Provide education and mentorship opportunities
2. Foster community connection and networking
3. Offer self-care opportunities
4. Recognize and celebrate nurses’ impact on healthcare
5. Support members in thriving personally and professionally
6. Promote resource sharing and collaboration

Our Beginning

On March 15, 2024, a remarkable moment unfolded at Cactus Club Cafe, one that would forever shape the journey of ADNC.

What began as a simple gathering of close friends quickly transformed into a powerful exchange of vision, purpose, and possibility. In that space, the heart of ADNC was unveiled, its vision, mission, values, and objectives shared among individuals who not only listened, but truly believed.

● It was more than a meeting.
● It was the birth of a dream.
● A spark that ignited a shared commitment to something greater than ourselves.

Surrounded by faith, unity, and unwavering support, ADNC came to life, rooted in purpose and driven by a collective desire to make a meaningful impact.
We honor and celebrate the founding individuals who were present in that defining moment:
Their belief, passion, and courage laid the foundation upon which ADNC stands today.
From a single table to a growing vision, this is only the beginning.
